Backyard Kids
Growing from the words of Jesus in Mark 10:14 (NKJ), “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God”, the focus of the Backyard Children’s Ministry is to cultivate and sow into each child the knowledge of God’s word with the understanding that these children are the future of tomorrow’s church. Essentially we, the Backyard staff, are ministering to the future.
The Backyard’s ministry plan is born out of prayer, scripture, and study; thus providing the infrastructure, the vehicle for communicating, and giving us the ability to implement this theme. Our goal for the Backyard is to strengthen every child and to teach them effectively allowing guidance from the Holy Spirit. When given the opportunity, we will disciple and empower them to be disciple makers. Teaching, Loving, and Empowering children from the ages of four years old to fifth grade, the Backyard is committed to the challenges facing children of today’s world. All of the Backyard’s staff is here to assist with this critical task while remaining under one accord with all ministries of Northridge with one common agenda; to reach the community and bring Christ to all.
